I am really having fun making Christmas presents this year. I decided to make a mermaid doll for my cute little niece. I love how she turned out. I don't know what it is, but I really like mermaids a lot right now... maybe it is because I have seen a lot of cute mermaid stuff lately?

I love Autumn. It is probably my favorite time of year and I am starting to get really excited for changing leaves and cool crisp air. I loved these fabrics and thought they would be pretty for a table runner.

Have I mentioned that we don't have television right now? It's been 3 months now and so this is what I do with the extra time that I usually waste on television shows... I embroider!
I finished this pillow about a week ago, but have been too lazy to post it. Anyway, I love how it turned out. Enjoy.

I had two of my sisters-in-law over to craft yesterday... which was so fun to craft and chat at the same time. We painted these fun paper clay jack-o-lanterns for Halloween decorations. I pre-made them before hand so that the paper clay would have time to dry.
Look how cute they all look together! In order: Chelsey, mine, Alexis
Thanks for the fun afternoon of crafting girls. Let's do it again soon!
a new blog for crafting with kids.

I have a lot of friends who are expecting babies soon so I thought I would make some fun bibs. I think they turned out cute.
I embroidered this Christmas Elf. I had a lot of fun with this, but now I don't know what to do with it. Any ideas? Should I frame it, sew it to a decorative pillow...?

I am starting to make some Halloween ornaments for my Halloween tree... I am having so much fun. Here is my crazy jack-o'lantern.
Here is a girly fabric banner that I will probably be posting in my etsy shop soon. It is perfect for a little girls' room.
Here it is again draped across my daughter's headboard.
Another banner. This time a Thanksgiving one strung across a mirror. I am having so much fun making these.

I have been busy planning birthday parties for my two daughters, whose birthdays are only 5 days apart. I have been wanting to make rag dolls for my girls for a long time and I finally got around to it. Oh it was so much fun to make these. I am sure I will be whipping out a few more.
My daughters had a "Mermaid" theme party and this is what I came up with for the cake. My girls LOVED it!

I found this colorful tank at Target on clearance for an awesome price of 75 cents, however, it was a little plain so I decided it needed a cheerful owl embroidered on it. What do you think?
Here is a closer look. I love how it turned out... just makes me smile.
I saw this idea somewhere, wish I remembered where, but I was in need of a pin cushion so I decided to make one... I have never had one. I thought the idea of a little tree stump was so fun. I can't believe I haven't made one before. Enjoy!

I think this is a fun idea to frame some art made from collected rocks... maybe from a family vacation.Love this bathroom... so pretty, white, and clean.
I really wish I could have these awesome mirrors. Aren't they so pretty?
Do you see a theme? I am really liking white right now, well, with the exception of the dull off white walls of our apartment.

My cousin was recently married and I was asked to make her cake toppers. I made these "love birds" out of paper clay and wire. My aunt dressed them with the veil and top hat. think they turned out so cute. What do you think? My cousin had such a pretty wedding cake and I feel honored to have been a part of it. Congrats Ashley and Nate!

I found these dish towels about a month ago and they match perfectly with our paint color and decor so I decided that I needed to make some curtains for our kitchen with them. This picture isn't very good and doesn't show them very clearly, but I really like how they turned out.

I came across a blog tonight that was full of inspiration. http://lalalovelythings.blogspot.com
It made me want to redecorate my house.
Look at all these lovely rooms.Isn't this pink door just too much fun?
I think I would be a way better cook if my kitchen was like this. ;)
I love the pink, grey, and white... delish!
love the growth chart. too cute.
The blue walls with the tall doors and ceilings are awesome.
oh, and if my laundry room was like this... maybe, just maybe I wouldn't mind doing a few loads every now and again.

I am trying to get a portfolio built up and my awesome friend Britt let me come practice on her kids' play room. I am pleasantly surprised at how it turned out. I definitely learned a lot along the way. What kid wouldn't want this in their playroom?

My sister recently launched a new acrylic stamp company called "My Cute Stamps"... the name says it all! The really are super cute. She has a booth today and tomorrow and the Scrapbook USA expo in Sandy, UT. If you are in the neighborhood, you really need to stop in and check it out. Here are some projects that were made with some of her stamps. Enjoy!
